Sand 0. 05mm < sand < 2. 0 mm. 5 soil forming factors: interactions between these factors determine soil properties: organisms, topography, soil at a higher point will travel down to gentle slope and flat land. Flat land will have better filtration: time, climate, parent material. Only accounts for the proportion of sand, silt, clay. Soil structure : - the arrangement of soil particles and pore space between them. Organic matter/ humus is the glue that holds different sized particles together.
