Adolescents are preoccupied with their bodies and develop images of what their bodies are like. Cerebellum: aids in balance and body control. Hippocampus: memory and our ability to create mental image of spaces. Corpus callosum: allows the two hemispheres to communicate. Sit in one place for one hour or longer. Remember facts and instructions for longer periods of time. Capacity of one part of brain to take over for another when damaged. Young brain development based on ordinary experiences.
