Latex is scraped off of pod after incision. The most dangerous drug is naturally occuring! Heroin - derived from the morphine alkaloid found in opium, roughly 2-3 times more potent. Poppy plant (not highly addictive) raw opium (byproduct, addictive) heroin (more processed, typically semi-synthetic, highly addictive) Legally produced in certain areas of the world for medical uses. Opioid - synthetic drugs that produce opiate-like effects. Have also been used as a cough suppressant. Most jurisdictions place pretty strong restrictions on the use of opioids.
