When romans battle, they have to justify their wars, such as the gods. Samnites are a large group of people who organize quickly and are remembered as being fierce and populus. People who inhabit the very fertile region of italy. Kind of in conflict with the campanians, which they take capua. But since conflict is happening in an area of interest, the romans become involved.
