A disorienting dilemma-it is the situation a student goes through where they discover or they realize that the things they previously believed do not match what they previously believed. There are situations or events in the lives of students in which they experience a severe problem that causes them to split their focus on learning. Comparing what one has known to be, whether in a socio- cultural or mental sense.
