Do all of the following problems. (there are 90 possible points. ) Even if a question doesn"t explicitly say to prove something, you need to supply a proof that your answer is correct. What you turn in should not be your rst attempt, but a polished nal draft. Do the problems (or at least, arrange the solutions) in order. Leave at least an inch of space between each problem and the next. If you get stuck on one part of a multi-part problem, you can still work on the later parts. If you do this, you can use any results asserted the earlier parts, as if they have been proved. (you may not use a later part to prove an earlier part. ) If you are completely stuck, please come talk to me. I will be around a lot next week. I may not directly answer anything, but i can try to point you in the right direction.
