Innovaion, creaive work environments, & flow : chapter 7: explain why innovaion maters to companies. Just like the innovaion of the hearing loop, innovaion in general opens doors for customers. Companies manage resistance to change by unfreezing, geing people to understand that change is needed. Change intervenion is the process used to get workers and managers to change their behavior and work pracices. Refreezing is supporing and reinforcing new changes so they sick. Advantages: teams have been shown to improve customer saisfacion, product, and service quality, speed and eiciency in product development, employee job saisfacion, and decision making. Cross- training helps job saisfacion by allowing all team members to learn each other"s skill sets. Teams working together also insills trust and helps everyone pool their knowledge to accomplish tasks. Disadvantages: irst disadvantage is iniially high turnover, groups aren"t for everyone.
