Othello is story written by shakespeare, based on a competent solider who serves as the plays protagonist. Othello serves as a highly respected general of the armies of venice. He is a na ve yet powerful figure, respected by all his nobles who serve him. Throughout the film, the story begins true to the original shakespearean piece. In the beginning we see iago and roderigo stir the plot. They go to the home of desdemona, the love interest of othello, to expose her plan to secretly elope with othello. The story begins true to the shakespearean masterpiece. And from there; the visionary aspect of the original piece begins to unfold accordingly. Oliver parker directed the film and his main motivation for the story was to show that every single person, not depending on the rank of their position has the right to be evil.
