The status of women in the early 20th century was vastly different. Part 1, question 2: practice essay than it is now. In the last 50 years, there have been many advances as far as women are concerned. In the west, women begin to play a more active role in their family budget and household. In the 60s, there was a large education explosion that resulted in women having the opportunity to go to college. Women, having a higher education allowed them to enter the work force in the 70s and 80s. According to women in society from the human record, women joining the work force led to a significant drop in the marriage rate in the 70s and the use of contraceptives. Women were choosing to have a career instead of staying at home and having kids. In the case of india, women didn"t have many rights until they gained independence from the british.
