Starts by observation of the world (thought that it is hard to get a exact precise answers dealing w/ politics) Natural things are not dependent on human beings, decisions, or conventions. Week= disputed because week derived from year but the story of creationism is made by man. Nature is found in a mature and happy man. Aristotle looked at the world in its completion to understand the partial pieces of nature. (ex. Looking at the completed tree to understand the acorn) A city can be self-sufficient in making people happy, empires are diversions. Says humans are rational animals because of speech because they can talk about what is just and unjust (only humans can understand nature) Allows us to plan lives and know what makes us happy. Aristotle says no one wants to be unhappy and happiness can only be achieved by living w/ others in a city.
