In class, we talked about role conflict in policing. The role conflict is between the law and order , and the protect and serve. The public likes the protect and serve model, because they are suppose to be role models. This is no fun for the cops because they do not get action. They are suppose to prevent crime so that they do not have to deal with confrontation.
