From the brain to the mind: the french connection. Body and mind are fundamentally different things. The body is made of a material substance. The mind (or soul) is made of immaterial or spiritual substance. The mind influences the body through a tiny structure near the bottom of the brain known as the pineal gland. The mind and body are not different things.
