Is a good model as it shows that without a good environment you can"t have a good society and a good economy. Hypothesis: a provisional statement that proposes a possible explanation for an observed phenomenon. Hypotheses should be descriptive and meaningful and should lead to other hypotheses. Need to pass the so what? test. A statement of no effect does not relate to the results at all. Extension of the hypothesis, and is essentially an if then statement in which you explain what you would expect to happen if your hypothesis is true. Different from a hypothesis as it is more concrete. Good study designs are ethical, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-bound, unbiased. Smart- specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time bound. Example: belugas in st. laurence river are dying because it"s part of god"s plan. Not saying it"s impossible, but it"s not a scientific idea. For it to be scientific, it must be testable.
