Document Summary
Sensory receptors in the eye transmit visual info to the brain. Light first passes through the cornea (thick, transparent outer layer) Cornea focuses incoming light which then enters the lens. Light is bent inward and focused to form an image in the retina (thin inner surface of the back of the eye) Retina contains sensory receptors that transduces light into neural signals. The pupil contracts or dilates on front of lens, determining how much light enters. Iris, circular muscle that determines eye color and pupil size. Pupil dilates in dim light and when we see something we like. Accommodation behind iris, muscles change the shape of the lens. They flatten ir to focus on distant objects and thickens it to focus on close objects. Do(cid:374)"t support (cid:272)olor (cid:448)isio(cid:374) a(cid:374)d are poor at fi(cid:374)e detail.
