Students successfully completing this course should be able to demonstrate knowledge of a broad survey in the discipline, including the underlying principles that govern the natural world. Students should also be able to demonstrate the ability to use inductive and deductive reasoning to understand scientific phenomena. Students will also employ scientific and mathematical methods and technology in the resolution of laboratory and real-world problems.
