He tried to rape her: heracles fired a hydra-poisoned arrow at nessus, nessus told deianira that his blood was a love charm, heracles brings back a concubine one day, she dyed a robe with the blood. He burned to death from the poison: zeus took his soul to olympus and set him up as a god. Old woman was really hera and she decides to help him: pelias fated to be killed by a man with 1 shoes and feared jason. He can"t kill a family member (exiled) so he sends jason to get the golden fleece.
