Document Summary
Kinematics and electromyography of landing preparation in vertical stop-jump . The purpose of this journal is to see if there is a difference in some of the risk factors that could affect acl loading between male and females during the preparation of the landing phase of the stop-jump task. In the experiment there were 17 male and 19 female volunteer recreational athletes. Every person performed a stop jump task 3 times with a rest time of 1 minute at least. By putting electrodes on each volunteer and then three trials of isometric maximum volitional contractions were performed on each of their quadriceps and hamstring muscle groups for 5 seconds with their hip and knee flexed at 90 degrees. D and emg data, the motus videographic system collected the 3-d coordinates of the markers on the volunteer"s body and force plates collected the emg data. To analyze the data in this experiment they used the systat computer program system.
