Document Summary

February 2, 16, & 23, 2017 march 9, 2017. The purpose of this astm c 109/c 109m 07 test is to determine the compressive strength of hydraulic 2-in cube specimens using portland cement concrete, and to better understand the concrete mix design process. Portland cement concrete is composed of water, cement, and fine aggregates. Varying water-cement ratios affected the compressive strengths of different cube specimens. The purpose of this astm c39/c39m 14a test is to determine the compressive strength of molded cylinders using portland cement concrete. The portland cement concrete used to create the cylinders were composted of water, cement, and a mixture of fine and coarse aggregates. Varying water-cement ratios affected the compressive strengths of different cylinder specimens. This test method (astm 109/c 109m 07) determines compressive strength of hydraulic cement. Results may be used to determine compliance with specifications. This test method is also referenced by other test methods.
