Document Summary

The drug abuse resistance education or d. a. r. e. is a program created primarily to prevent teenagers from engaging in drug activities and gangs. The program consists of teenagers signing a pledge to resist in drug use and participation in gangs. It is mainly based around middle schools and high schools all across america. The visual argument in this paper is the d. a. r. e. logo. The slanted red lettering does a good job of catching a student s eye as he walks past it in the hallway. The d. a. r. e. logo can be seen in many schools all over the country. It is a reminder to students that they need to stay away from drugs and involvement with gangs. The program also offers the ability to interact with police officers for several reasons. It is good that these teenagers learn just how bad drugs are for you and how much of a risk it is to possess them.
