Inciting incident- statement of the hero"s problem; tied directly to the climax (being alone) Climax- resolution of the problem stated in the inciting incident. (meeting the guy) Midpoint- revelation of the hero"s true nature (a bug scuttles into her mouth) Pinch: a scene designed to draw the audience in. (screams) Twist: a scene that turns the story in a new way (pulls something out of shopping bag) Complications: obstacle that prevents hero from solving problem; there can be many. Plot line: statement of what is happening to the characters. Theme line: telescoping out of the plot line.
