I picked act iii, scene 4 of the twelfth night to analyze for this paper because it was the climax of this story and brought in most in many different plots to the story. The first plot of this scene was when olivia sent for malvolio to help her come up with a strategy to help persuade. Cesario (olivia disguised as a man) into wooing him. Olivia is madly in love with him and thinks this is why she called for him alone because maria playing a joke on malvolio wrote a love letter to him from olivia. The letter maria wrote is also done in prose instead of verse since it was written to be comical. Not black legs (iii. iv. 26) probably an allusion to the effect produced by tight ligatures. These lines are also shorter then the rest to show how confused olivia is and that malvolio is sounding crazy.
