Mediterranean cultures) up to the modern period, roughly 1500 c. e. Classical greece and rome; christianity and its roots in jewish religion/society; the. Mediterranean after the roman empire; emergence of western european states in the middle. Instruction takes the form of lectures and reading. The supplemental instruction leader (emma) will hold regular sessions to discuss especially the source readings, and help you handle the class material.
