Perfected the use of the chariot: wheels with spokes instead of solid wheels, horses pulled it instead of oxen. Collapsed around 1200 bc: formed power vacuum in the region. Philistines: known as the sea people , established a string of independent cities, used iron, hebrew"s victory over the philistines that allowed the establishment of the hebrew kingdom under david.
