American land to the apps: they kick everyone out, the colonist want to push west. The british government placed it here to prevent the colonist from moving west. Also set soldiers there from this and to protect against indian attacks: the british sent troops in that area to protect settles. This cost a lot of money so they taxed the colonist directly to pay for the war and troops: greater enforcement of collecting taxes.
