This course is designed to provide an overview of the important trends in american history from, roughly, 1492 to 1865. It will trace several interconnected themes, including: the. Students will also develop competency in critical thinking, the ability to evaluate a position or argument, and experience in written communication. History 2055 meets the requirements for three hours toward general education requirements for the humanities.
