Finally produced on a scale that is affordable to most americans. Henry ford he is one of the first auto makers to implement mass production on a large scale. He makes a car with interchangeable parts (if part goes bad go buy new one) Before this each part was custom made for the car and could not be replaced. 1914 implemented assembly line he is able to assemble a car in 14 hours instead of 3 weeks. Workers he hired could work less hours. He implemented 5 day work week (most worked 6) he was able to give them 2 days off because the process was so efficient. 1 car every 10 seconds car is off assembly line. 1926 only took 93 minutes to make the car. Make the process as efficient as possible. He did not have to rely on other companies for materials like one company for windows and one company for batteries.
