The new role would be like, would it continue . War guilt clause- germany responsible for war which is not fair. Secondly they set up a system of reparations where germany has to pay money back. Americans screw around with boundaries of old ottoman empire. Creation of league of nations which is an international body to keep the peace. Wilson has a very divided and hostile congress. He believes he can force the senate to do what he wants, but on his tour around the nation he catches a stroke. American policies in 1920s: senate fails to ratify-wilson attacks republicans who eventually get elected, new directions- even though united states do not join the league, they help. We are still economically involved in the world.
