In 1920, america reached their highest standard of living of all time. People were getting job and making more money. Two biggest industry of that time were automobile and construction. During 1920-1945 the changes that occurred in american economy"s were good and bad. During this america faced the great depression which caused unemployment and put economy backward. The period between 1920 to 1945 were primarily detrimental because restriction on women, impact of stock market on economy, difference between fundamentalist and modernist, government"s attitude towards public problem, and considering immigrant as a threat. For women depression was kind of a mixed question, because they just don"t have to work outside but also have household work like laundry, cooking and cleaning, take care of children etc. After 1920"s, women started to do work due to their financial condition, because their husbands were losing their jobs or wages were low.
