If you must miss class for whatever reason, please notify. If you are not present, you cannot participate in class discussions, and participation counts 10% of your grade. We"ll be reading and discussing both testament of youth by vera brittain and margaret. Thatcher: shaping the new conservatism by meredith veldman. You are to read the assignments and write at least one double-spaced typed page in response to one or more of the reading questions. You will be required to submit each typed entry separately on the dates listed in the syllabus. I"ll return all of them to you after we have finished reading each of the books. Please come to class prepared to discuss the assignments on the dates listed in the syllabus. The class will be divided into four groups. Each group will be responsible for organizing the class discussion of one of the four movies that we"ll be watching this semester.
