Features of the earth (living things: plants, animals) Elements of the atmosphere (nonliving: air, sunlight, space, soil, water, weather) The part of the environment that humans have established or changed to meet designated needs. Social biological (the living) ex: genetically engineered trees to fight pollution. Social physical (the environment) ex: hov lanes, recycle bins. Social cultural (communication) ex: laws, languages, standards of beauty, customs, cultural patterns.
