Office hrs: mw 2:30-4:00, other times by appointment. In this course you will learn how to be consumers of information so as to make informed decisions and to assess the decisions made by others. This course emphasizes the basic understanding of how data are organized, summarized and described (descriptive statistics) and how this information is used for managerial decision making. The goal of this course is to broaden the range of your intuition and to enable you to think. Packaged with connect learnsmart and homework access code. Software: microsoft excel, jmp 10 (downloaded from tigerware) i will discuss how to do this once classes start. Calculator: suggested calculator, ti-36x. (ti ba ii plus for finance majors, etc) Class notes: class notes are provided on moodle. Administered at the testing center detailed information, examples as well as participation points. Academic policies: there will be total 4 tests, each worth 25 points.
