Id- basic desires; whatever you want in the present moment (hungry, thirsty, etc. ) Ego- not concerned about what happens right now but what will happen in the future; it"s our rationality that tells us how to behave so that we get what we want in the future. Libido- sexual drive; believed this one could override the other 2 parts of the human soul. *aristotle thought that your ego should control your behavior, to make you the best possible person.
