Social structure - relatively stable patterns of society, such as the ways in which people and groups are related to each other and the characteristics of groups influencing our behavior. Statuses/roles (also norms): keys for micro-macro link between individuals and society. For each status there is a certain role; they also have a particular norm they have to follow. Social status: ascribed vs. achieved, status set/master status. Status set - group of statuses: master status - status that sticks out. Role perception - image about a particular role. Role performance - in reality what the person does is different than your perception of it. Role strain (strain role) - problem affiliating with the role of a single status.
