Sociology is concerned w every aspect of the self in relationships with others and every aspect of the social world that affects a person"s thoughts of actions. Social perspectives help us to see beyond individual experiences: The vivid awareness of the relationship between experiences and the wider society . When you see of experience something personal (divorce, discrimination) you can use this imagination to sociologically explain these phenomena. 2 levels: macro-sociology: large-scale structures and processes, broad social categories, institutions and social systems, example: war, unemployment rates. Solutions- structural or organizational level: micro-sociology: concerned with how individuals behave in social situations, example: social problems of a veteran, unemployment worker, etc. Issue: divorce: mirco-level: observe husbands and wives and how they interact.
