" This course gives an introduction to quantitative methods that social scientists use to evaluate empirical patterns in society. We will learn to describe, analyze, and interpret data and relationships between variables. We will study graphical approaches to the display of data, descriptive statistics for making statements about a body of data, and inferential statistics for generalizing beyond a body of data to some larger population of interest. Also, this course will give you the ability to conduct basic quantitative research and be more informed and critical readers of research and statistical claims. In short, we will learn the fun(damentals) of basic statistical analysis! Statistics: unlocking the power of data by lock, lock, morgan, lock, and lock.
