The past few days, i have been watching local news stations, wafb and wbrz at different times of the day. They displayed many different stories on violent crimes in the city of baton rouge and other surrounding cities, such as hammond and new orleans. The anchors tone switch from very happy and cheerful to sad, angry, and hateful in a matter of seconds when they would switch to the unpleasant part the news. When the reporters would talk about the violence that had taken place in the local cities, the mood was to show in a fast clip of the horror that a person could commit to another. Most of the crimes that were shown to the audience is the cruelest they could find; rape, murder, or kidnapping. Most of the offenders displayed were poor, often black, young men. This is the case in which the south dallas serial rapist they caught on tuesday in.
