Speech Perceiving Individual Words in Sentences:.
o People pronounce things in many different ways
words become much more difficult to understand when taken out of
context
Experiment that showed that the ability to perceive words in
conversations is aided by the context provided by the words and
sentences that make up the conversation
o Amazing that sounds of speech are easier to understand when we hear them
spoken in a sentence because words do not sound as if they are separated by
spaces when this is the case
