The subjunctive moo dis used to express doubt, insecurity, influence, opinion, feelings, hope, wishes or desires. Verbs with irregular yo forms maintian this irregularity in all forms of the present subjunctive. Verbs ending in car, -gar, and zar have a spelling change in all present subjunctive forms. In the present subjunctive, stem-changing ar and er verbs make the same vowel changes that they do in the present indikative: e ie and o ue. No stem change in the nosotros and vosotros forms. The pattern is different with the ir stem-changing verbs. Duerman usual changes of e ie, e i and o ue, in the nosotros and vosotros forms the stem vowels change ie i and ue u.
