Global enforcement mechanisms pale in comparison to the power of many nation- states. This severely limits the challenges global governance brings to national sovereignty. Indeed, national sovereignty often impedes enforcement of global norms and laws. According to krasner, the nation-state has long weathered challenges to national sovereignty. Globalization might limit national sovereignty in some ways, but doesn"t. Krasner is right in arguing that claims about the death of national sovereignty are premature. Nevertheless, national sovereignty might not necessarily mean the same thing in countries around the world. Some countries might be able to enforce their national sovereignty more than others . By law, all nation-states are equally sovereign. Somalia is a country in east africa. Colonized by britain and italy during 20th century. In 1960, somaliland & somalia became one independent country - Since the early 1980s, somalia has been ravaged by internal power. Sovereignty as an idealized model struggles and civil war.
