But thought that personality development also should include thinking and reasoning. More than just behavior impacts a person. Each factor influences and is influenced by others simultaneously. Learn by observing other people"s behavior and its consequences. Our level of confidence in our own abilities. Develop a deep interest and strong commitment to activities they are involved in. Lose confidence in their abilities if they experience setbacks. Confident in abilities in english, less so in math. Refers to our beliefs about the power we have in our own lives. People possess either internal or external locus of control. Belief that one"s effort and decisions determine outcomes. Belief that luck, fate, and other people determine outcomes: walter mischel and the person-situation debate. Behavior is consistent in equivalent situations across time.
