Chapters 1 - 55 (other theory) first emperor of qin was the son of king zhuangxiang who was held hostage in rival state of zhao. Zhuangxian fancied a concubine of lu buwei and took her. Zheng father died when he was 13 - became king. Qin had already gained lots of territory. Because zheng was young the rue devolved on the ministers. King"s younger brother died in a rebellion. Plot of lao ai - used royal seal to call out royal troops, and chiefs to start a revolt. Zheng ordered his troops to destroy him and the rebels. They fled - zheng offered 1 million dollars for his capture alive and 1/5 mil for his dead body. Bodies were dismembered and heads hung as a warning to others. 4 thousand families were removed to fangling. Zheng sent away his mother but returned to the palace.
