Freedom from fear: equal and inalienable rights of all people, rebellion against tyranny and oppression, human rights protected by law, equal rights of men and women. Article 1: everyone born free and equal, reason and conscience. Article 2: no discrimination on any grounds, no one should be barred from rights. Article 4: no slavery/servitude, no slave trade. Article 5: no torture, no cruel punishment. Article 6: recognized before the law as an equal citizen. Article 7: equal before the law, no discrimination in law, equal protection of the law. Innocent until proven guilty: access to defense, can"t be guilty of a crime that wasn"t a crime when it was committed, punishment must fit the crime and be in accordance with when the crime was committed. Freedom of residence within state: right to leave any country and return.
