at least 60 days prior to closing a work site or
conducting mass layoffs
Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA): signed by Bill
Clinton; provides eligible employees who work for
covered employers to take up to 12 weeks of unpaid
leave during any 12 month period if one or more of
the following events occur:
o Birth and care of a newborn child of the employee
o Placement with employee of a son/daughter for
adoption or foster care
