If we are a country run by elites, are we really a democracy: how the elites manage democratic processes and governmental institutions so that their control is never threatened (hellinger and fudd, p. 9). The constitution was written in favor of the elite: elites hold power; non-elites do not. The existence of elites is obvious enough to most americans to generate a response that seeks to reduce some of their privileges and power (hellinger and fudd, p. 9). Some people understand that the country is run by elites. Bridgewater 2 document would have emerged (hellinger and fudd, p. 12). High ranking persons: hegemony: leadership of one group or country over others. They are manipulative elites: textbooks won"t tell the full story. They avoid certain words regardless of accuracy to prevent risk of raising questions on the sincerity or legitimacy of the foundation of the united states.
