Tumours arises from the glands; more often in peripheral regions. Types of lung cancer small cell carcinoma. Inactivation of tumour suppressor genes or loss of p53. Epithelial metaplasia in situ carcinoma invasive carcinoma metastasis. Signs & symptoms may be first indicators of scc. Survival is 1-3 months from diagnosis if untreated. Poorly differentiated cells have more abnormalities and the tumour will have high numbers of these.
