Early signs that indicate that a child might have autism (in the first two years) *the number of these signs and the age of the child is important. Share sounds, smiles or other facial expressions - games such as peek a boo: respond with smiles or joyful expressions, consistently respond to own name, use gestures without being told to or copying e. g. , not wave goodbye. Behaviour: use gestures such as putting up hands to be picked up, point to something he wants and then look at you and then look back at what he wants. Sound like he is trying to talk with you when he babbles: understand simple instructions, pretend play.
