The main tort is negligence you will need to know negligence law: relationship of employees and employers, duty of care (when does it arise?) In particular public authorities: standard of care issues (what standard is applied to children, professionals etc. , damage (injury issues) factual causation and scope of liability issues. Civil liability act 2002 (nsw) + case law expected. Trespass (all of them land, person, property: elements, defences, remedies. Knowledge of the whole topic can allow for greater discussion and demonstrating knowledge. (i. e. tort of interference with contractual relations, tort of deceit) Case law is important to show an understanding of the law.
