Variety of truths which are constructed within definite context of social relations as the product of legitimated knowledge . People engage with each other to produce meanings and in that process, come to understand shared meanings as knowledge . Within this process of producing and legitimising knowledge, power arise. Relationships that we construct and strategies/tactics that we undertake to produce and legitimate knowledge is discourse. Understand discourse => understand the truth about power in any situation. Truth is manifested as a regime where society through institutions produce and legitimate their own regime of truth. Truth is manifested through types of discourses which society accepts and makes it function as if it is true". Discourses act to separate true and false statements as forms of knowledge.
