Certain characteristics an skills of self-regulation, such as waiting and willpowers, can be explained by personality, but usually need to be learned and practiced to get better. Ability to think about how we feel, what we do and how they ae connected. Being able to describe what we feel and describe our behaviour and explain the connection.
