ANAT30007 Lecture Notes - Lecture 14: Thenar Eminence, Grip Strength, Central Tendon Of Diaphragm
Document Summary
Bicipital aponeurosis is the green part drawn that flaps out further. Distal biceps tendon is also visible and drawn out. Extensors grouped with the supinators innervated by radial n. Red: brachial artery splits into ulnar and radial artery (more lateral) White: brachioradialis muscle (also found most laterally on the left image) Most likely lateral cutaneous n. on the brachioradialis. Pronator teres is visible going from medial epicondyle (rigt side) Flexor carpi ulnaris makes the border of the anterior flexor group. Red: interosseous membrane not a tendon or a muscle anterior interosseous n. (median n. ) or median a. (anterior interosseous artery) Palmaris longus tendon medial to the yellow arrow. Dual innervation: median n (index and middle, ulnar n (little and ring) Flexor digitorum superficialis uses median n. to flex all fingers. Extensor carpi radialis higher up going to near base of 2nd metacarpal. Converging of tendons indicate anatomical snuffbox running through that is the radial artery.
